game freezing at logon - Guild Wars Forums

hey everyone, just bought the game the expansion and for some reason when i go to logon, the game and my system freezes. i can load the game, get to the logon screen, i log on, the loading screen comes up and as soon as the game comes up, it freezes. And the thing is i logged on to two of my buddies accounts and their's worked flawlessly, and then i go to log on to my account again, and mine freezes again. I'm absolutely clueless on how to solve the problem, if anyone know anything, i could use the help. Thanks.

ya i was having that problem. was about to post for help. i did a few things from the support fourm but no luck.

only fix was copying the .dat from my laptop and it's ok.

oh ya move this to the support not q&a

This kinda happened to me I think last week, but not consistently. Not sure what the solution for you would be, other than keep trying to log in. Since your friend's account works, obviously there's no problem with the installation of GW on your computer.
